Take the opportunity to climb a real rock in the Wakaito region. Your fully qualified and experienced guide will teach you the safest form of climbing and enlighten you on rock identification, belaying, equipment selection and equipment checking. Once you're equipped with the knowledge, begin your ascent up the ancient fossil limestone cliffs of Stone Valley. Calm your nerves as you turn around and take in sweeping views of the countryside, boulder valleys and the extinct volcanoes of Mt Pirongia and Mt Karioi. Your guide will also take incredible shots of you climbing up the cliff face.
